    Warren Report 5.14.15

From Su Kim (MFA  07)  “'Sense8' filmed in 9 cities over eight countries. It's a story about one moment links 8 minds in disparate parts of the world, putting 8 strangers in each other's lives, each other's secrets, and in terrible danger. All 12 episodes of the global dramatic thriller will launch Friday, June 5 only on Netflix . From the unparalleled creative minds of The Wachowskis (“The Matrix” trilogy, “Cloud Atlas”) and J. Michael Straczynski (Clint Eastwood’s “Changeling ," "World War Z"), as well as Grant Hill ("The Matrix" trilogy, "Cloud Atlas"). Please check it out on June 5th. “ From Stephen Griffin (MFA 10)  “Big things have happened over the last year. In October, I got married in Los Angeles to an amazing woman named Belen. Some of my classmates might remember her from our Tallahassee days. We moved to Texas to pursue some great opportunities, and we got our first puppy. One big opportunity that has come my way is editing a documentary for acclaimed filmmaker Mary Ann Bruni. The documentary focuses on the San Francisco de Asis Church in Taos, NM to commemorate its 200th anniversary. Her last film Quest for Honor premiered at Sundance and was short listed for the academy awards.”  From Jessica Wilson-Silas (BFA  07)  “I was working at a 3d company called Launch for the last 2 1/2 years in NY, where they primarily made animatics and ads. I started as a Producer there and then moved on to being a Director. In that position I got to Direct spots for CocaCola, Nestle, P&G and others. My husband and I decided to move to LA recently to transition back into feature films. I'm currently working in Visual Effects on a movie for Fox 2000, and my husband Lee is working as a Scenic Designer and Carpenter.” The Askew Student Life Center’s Student Life Cinema Summer B movie promo is here!  Come enjoy movies with us this May and June.  If you want to give your thoughts on movies for Fall 2015 come visit the SLC Film Committee over Summer on Thursdays at  5:00 PM in the Askew Student Life Center Program Office.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G1pxp7vPPPM  Tallahassee:  DOH has a new posting for a videographer position.  Here’s the link to the position.
