Warren Report 3.5.15

Don’t forget the F3 screening tonight at the Student Life Center at 7 PM.   No tickets needed but first come, first served for seating! From Deadline:  “With a box office take of over $340M worldwide, The Maze Runner got off to a great start last fall becoming another film franchise for 20th Century Fox. Now, with two films already under their belt, word comes that T.S. Nowlin (BFA  03) , who co-scripted the first movie and scripted the second installment, just sealed a deal to pen a third. All are based on James Dashner’s bestselling YA series.  The first Maze Runner, which starred relative newcomers Dylan O’Brien and Ki Hong Lee, grossed over $100M domestically and $238M internationally — well enough to introduce the property and the actors to overseas audiences. With that in pocket, the studio jumped into the second film with The Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials, which is in post production and is scheduled to bow September 18. Wes Ball  (BFA  02)  directed both and Nowlin will get sole writing credit on the second, and has an exec producer credit. The third is called The Maze Runner: The Death Cure.”  For the complete article go to eadline.com/tag/t-s-nowlin/ “ From Stephanie Milbourn (MFA-Writing 14)  “I'm now working as an Assistant/Receptionist at Hallmark Hall of Fame, which makes TV movies for the Hallmark Channel. It's only my first week, but it seems to be going well so far. Everyone's very nice, and I'm going to get a good look at what goes into development, pre-pro, production, and post.” From Lauren Miller Rogan (BFA 03)  “A great indie movie that I have a small part in comes out in select theaters on March 20th and on VOD. It stars Josh Lawson, Adam Brody, Wyatt Cenac, Danny Jacobs (who also co-wrote and co-directed), and Amber Tamblyn. Here's a small clip of a scene with me and Adam Brody: http://www.indiewire.com/article/watch-adam-brody-bails-on-pregnant-girlfriend-in-growing-up-other-lies-exclusive-clip-20150227 and the full trailer can be seen here: http://blogs.indiewire.com/theplaylist/watch-trailer-for-indie-rom-com-growing-up-other-lies-with-adam-brody-wyatt-cenac-amber-tamblyn-20150219 From Paul Marschall (MFA 00)  “This Friday, March 6 a movie I DP’d, Bad Asses On the Bayou, opens up in 10 cities across the country. It’s an action/comedy starring Danny Trejo & Danny Glover and was a blast to shoot. I’m currently prepping for another feature, a thriller, that I’ll be shooting in Los Angeles soon. Following that I’m going to shoot a 10 hour series about the Kennedy family and their legacy that should be very interesting. And following that I’m off to NY to work on the third season of A Crime to Remember, a period crime TV series about actual murders that took place in the 50’s & 60’s. It’s going to be a busy summer!” From Christina Campagnola (BFA 12)  “Hello! I will be attending SXSW March 14th-21st and would love to meet up with any FSU graduates that are planning to attend.
